2010 - Ayutthaya
Bangkok to Ayutthaya by Train
We took the local train from downtown Bangkok to Ayutthaya, a journey of about 2 hours. The ride itself was an adventure — an open-air train filled with locals, costing less than 20 baht per person. Simple, authentic, and full of charm.
Ayutthaya by Night
Instead of heading back the same day, we decided to stay overnight in Ayutthaya. The highlight was taking a local boat along the river to admire the golden temples glowing beautifully at night. Seeing the ancient ruins lit up against the water was unforgettable.
Memories Over Photos
Unfortunately, we didn’t have a good camera to capture the magical views. But sometimes the best souvenirs are memories — and Ayutthaya gave us plenty of those.
A mix of history, local life, and river views — this trip was truly one to remember.
