The Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew
Former royal residence from King Rama I to Rama V.
Still used today for important ceremonies and royal events.
Visit Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), Thailand’s most sacred temple.
Admire the revered Emerald Buddha, carved from a single piece of jade.
Wat Pho – The Reclining Buddha
Bangkok’s largest temple complex (20 acres) and one of the city’s oldest.
Home to the colossal 46-metre-long Reclining Buddha, symbolising the Buddha’s passing into nirvana.
Houses more than 1,000 Buddha images brought from ancient capitals.
Wat Arun – Temple of Dawn
Take a short ferry ride across the Chao Phraya River to Thonburi.
Admire the 70-metre prang (spire), representing Mount Meru in Hindu-Buddhist cosmology.
Decorated with colourful glass and porcelain, Wat Arun is one of Bangkok’s most photographed landmarks.
