Day 1 – Arrive at the Sanctuary & Stay in a Jungle Homestay

Start your adventure with a scenic 1.5-hour drive from Chiang Mai to the lush Mae Wang Valley. Pass through rice fields and rolling hills before arriving at Pon Elephant Thailand.

Meet your friendly hosts, explore the local area, and visit a nearby elephant herd living freely in the jungle. In the evening, help prepare a traditional Thai dinner, relax with your host family, and enjoy a peaceful night in your private wooden hut or tent surrounded by nature.

Day 2 – Good Morning with Elephants & Bamboo Rafting

Wake up to the sound of elephants calling the morning! Capture magical moments as they roam near your homestay. After breakfast, learn about the elephants’ history and care from local mahouts.

Feed, walk with, and bathe the elephants in the Mae Wang River, observing their gentle behavior up close. Then, visit the Mae Wang Waterfall for a refreshing swim before enjoying a relaxing bamboo rafting trip through the lush forest.
