Itinerary

07.45 am. Pick up from your hotel

Travel about 1.5 hours south of Chiang Mai through rolling hills, forests, and local farms to reach Pon Elephant Thailand. Upon arrival, meet the team and receive a safety and orientation briefing about elephant habitats and behavior.

Embark on a guided nature walk with the sanctuary rangers, where you’ll feed the elephants Napier grass, sugarcane, and bananas. Observe their peaceful lives, capture stunning photos, and learn about each elephant’s personality and rescue story.

Next, walk down to the Mae Wang River, where you may have the chance to bathe and brush the elephants if they choose to enter the water. The experience is entirely elephant-led and respectful — nothing is forced.

This program also supports the local hill-tribe community, helping preserve both the elephants’ wellbeing and the surrounding community forest for generations to come.
