What to Expect

Embark on a full-day adventure that combines the charm of Thailand’s gentle giants with the breathtaking beauty of Doi Inthanon National Park, the “Roof of Thailand.”
This experience takes you deep into the heart of northern Thailand’s culture and nature — from meeting elephants at a Karen Hill Tribe sanctuary to hiking lush mountain trails and visiting the iconic Twin Pagodas.

At the elephant sanctuary, change into traditional Karen clothing and take part in hands-on activities: preparing food, feeding elephants, and learning about their history and natural behavior. Sip herbal tea while watching them in their habitat, craft a Thai souvenir, and cool off at a nearby waterfall.

After lunch, journey to Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest peak, where refreshing mountain air, panoramic views, and a scenic hike await. Visit The Twin Pagodas, the Botanical Garden, and trek the Pha Dok Siew nature trail, ending the day at an organic Karen Hill Tribe coffee farm — a perfect finish before returning to Chiang Mai.

06:30–07:00 – Pick-Up from Hotel
Pick up from your hotel or accommodation in Chiang Mai.
Enjoy a scenic 1½-hour countryside drive through rice fields, rivers, and mountain villages.

08:30 – Arrival at the Elephant Sanctuary
Receive a warm welcome and change into traditional Karen clothing.
Learn about elephant care and conservation from local guides.
Participate in preparing food and feeding elephants safely while observing their natural behavior.
Relax with freshly brewed herbal tea as you watch them in their jungle environment.
Visit a nearby waterfall (no elephant bathing) and craft your own Thai handmade souvenir.

A 45-minute scenic drive takes you toward the famous mountain range.

14:00 – The Twin Pagodas & Botanical Garden
Visit Naphamethinidon and Naphaphonphumisiri Pagodas, built in honor of the King and Queen of Thailand.

15:00 – Pha Dok Siew Nature Trail
Begin a 1-hour moderate hike through rice terraces, waterfalls, and lush forest.
