High Light

The story of Khao Sok National Park begins almost 300 million years ago. Back then, Khao Sok was just a sedimentary deposit of sandstone and small rocks. These minerals sat at the bottom of a very long river. As the riverbed began to harden, Khao Sok took it’s place as part of a massive coral reef. This reef reached from Borneo all the way to China, an area 5 times the size of the great barrier reef. As the tectonic plates shifted, many of Khao Sok´s massive sandstone deposits were pushed upward creating dramatic limestone cliffs or “karsts”. The area rested peacefully for the last 60 million years while supporting the formation of an evergreen tropical forest which is much the same today as it was then.

DAY 1  (--,L,D)

• Flexible Start Time (after 11:00)

• Arrive at your Khao Sok Resort (Bamboo or Superior), check in

• Thai Lunch

• Activity Period (see below)

• Return to resort, relax, free time

• Dinner at hotel

• (If guests choose night safari, they will depart after dinner)

DAY 2  (B,L,D)

• Breakfast at hotel

• Transfer from Khao Sok hotel to Lake Cheow Lan

• Check in: Meet your guide (store excess luggage in our office if you prefer)

• Boat Ride: Check into the park and board a traditional longtail boat with your guide

• Scenic landmark: Visit Gui Lin Scenic area for pictures and a swim

• Lunch: Arrive at your traditional raft house for lunch

• Hike: Take a hike through the prehistoric Jungle, based on your guide’s recommendation of trail

• Dinner at the floating bungalow

DAY 3  (B,L,--)

• Morning Mist Boat Safari: Catch the mist drifting along the water and jungle as you search for wildlife

• Breakfast: Enjoy Khao tom a savory rice porridge or western style pancake (all inclusive)

• Check out: Make sure you have all of your belongings

• Free time: for relaxing, swimming or kayaking

• Boat back to the Pier: Say goodbye to your Floating Bungalow and board your longtail boat headed back to the pier

• Lunch: Pack Lunch

• Return to the tour office: Visit our office to collect excess baggage and transfer to find your next destination (not included)

📌 Important Notes

Do not bring lots of luggage to the lake, you can leave any excess luggage at our office. Bring

the minimum—towel, shorts, bathing suit, hat, T-shirt, good walking shoes for forest walks(no need for hiking boots), flashlight, sunscreen or suntan oil, your camera, and any personalmedication or supplies. You are welcome to leave your bulkier luggage at our office while youare on the lake. Raincoats, mosquito repellent, and other necessities are available in Ta Khuntown before heading up to the pier.

Booking Conditions & Policy :

• Book at least 48 hours before travel date

• No charge for cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival

• Cancellations less than 30 days before arrival are subject to 35% cancelation charges

• No shows will be charged full price

• Payment: Full amount upon confirmation or at least 24 hours before travel
